GL with job interviews! Here's some helpful questions to ask at the end. What do you like most about working for this company? How do you evaluate success here? What distinguishes this company from its competitors? Do you have any hesitations about my qualifications? When may I expect to hear back from you?

I always suck at asking good questions during interviews, so this really does help quite a bit.

I sadly got a rejection email today though. Turns out the position will be filled by someone with more experience (of course).

It’s no big deal though, I like my current job well enough. The new job would have been $10K more per year though…..But whatever

You are still awesome for surprising me with unsolicited career advice

help I’m having emotions about a cartoon antidepressant trying to be useful

yes but look at it, it cares about her and just wants to help her be able to function. It’s like “I know you’re sad. here, I’ll help you.”

LIKE OKAY THOUGH can I explain why this is exceedingly brilliant??  Because when anti-depressants work right, that’s what they DO.  They don’t make you happy or emotionless or unhealthy in any way, they make you FUNCTIONAL.  They make it so that a depressed person who can barely get out of bed can start to support themselves again and more importantly, start to THINK for themselves again without the permeating presence of depression.

Depression is a cyclical disease, that tells you to think a certain way, and, because you’re depressed, you generally believe it, and then things get worse and worse.  The ONLY thing anti-depressants do is to STOP that cycle in its tracks!!  Which is something to be ecstatic about and celebrated, even if you don’t realize it at the time, because when you’re depressed, getting out of bed is climbing Mount Everest.  Antidepressants help stop that cycle so that one day soon, getting out of bed can JUST be getting out of bed.  They don’t even expedite the recovery process in most cases, they just make recovery POSSIBLE IN THE FIRST PLACE.  So this little guy is portrayed with a fuckton more accuracy than I ever expected from a commercial.

It’s back and adorable

A fair amount of people tend to see me wielding great-sword as tall as I am

I agree with the sentiment

I'm sorry if I offended you, dude. I didn't mean for it to be hurtful.

That comment was made for the sake of being funny

It’s actually really hard to offend me. You basically have to TRY to offend me in order for me to be hurt in any way.

I’m really open to discussion about my bi-racial-ness

On a side note, I will take this (and the other post) down if you wish. Just drop me a message. I’m making this public just so that everyone knows that as long as they exercise the tiniest modicum of sensitivity and common sense, I will be cool with whatever they have to say to me.

I was thinking throwing fireballs and giant swords at the same time.

This is objectively much better than my black cousins trying to empirically decide whether or not I should be able to use the N word.

I have a good template if you need it.

Eh formatting is actually one of my strong suits. I’m just having trouble with wording and with describing myself and my work experience . Appreciate the offer though!
